Five county picnic shelters to be available on reservation basis

Brunswick County Parks and Recreation has 24 picnic shelters throughout all of the county parks, and most are on a first-come, first-serve basis. But starting Aug. 1, five picnic shelters will go on a reservation system.
The park shelters under this new system are used heavily and many citizens have wanted to reserve them in the past for their family gatherings and picnics.  
Starting Aug. 1, The Brunswick Nature Park Pavilion, the Leland Park Shelter No. 2, the Northwest Park Shelter No. 2, the Ocean Isle Beach Park Shelter No. 1 and the Shallotte Park Shelter No. 3 will be on a reservation basis only.
If you are interested in reserving one of these sites for your next event, please contact Tanya Jackson at 253-2670. The fee for reserving the park shelters is $25 per a four-hour block.
