Members of the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Vice-Narcotics Task Force arrested five people on drug charges in separate incidents Friday in Supply.
Deputies arrested three Supply residents after searching a residence at 2194 Ellis Road early Friday morning, according to a sheriff’s office news release. The search followed a two-month investigation.
Whitney Dean McKeithan, 20, of Elk Road, and Erik Douglas Grissett, 28, of Ellis Drive, are each charged with trafficking opium or heroin (more than 28 grams of opiates), possession of heroin, possession of marijuana (up to a half-ounce) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are being held at the Brunswick County Detention Facility on $750,000 bail.
Nicholas Benoy, 22, of Harris Street, is charged with trafficking opium or heroin (more than 4 grams but less than 14 grams of opiates), possession of heroin, possession of marijuana (up to a half-ounce), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is in custody at the jail on $100,000 bail.
Two other people were arrested after a traffic stop by a state trooper Friday in Southport, at Southport-Supply and Longbeach roads.
Justin Antwain Garvin, 21, of Little Macedonia Road in Supply, and Melisia Dawn Todd, 29, of Newberry Lane, in Bolivia, are each charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia by the sheriff’s office. The highway patrol also charged Garvin with being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
Both are incarcerated at the jail, Garvin on $1 million bail and Todd on $5,000 bail.
