Flag Day ceremony set in Shallotte

The Shallotte Elks Lodge 2854 will host their annual Flag Day ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. June 14 at Shallotte Middle School.

Participating will be the Shallotte Fire Department Color Guard, Boy Scout Troop 201, Tina Sanchez from New Beginnings Community Church and speakers from the military.

Albert Hughes will lead the singing of the National Anthem and “God Bless America.”

The ceremony for burning flags will be the last event of the ceremony.
