Free throw winners advance to state

On Jan. 28, the Knights of Columbus Our Lady of the Rosary Council 9039, Shallotte, had its local annual Knights of Columbus free throw championship at Shallotte Middle School. Thirty-three boys and girls ages 10-14 competed.
The winners: 10-year-old girl, Isabelle Smeltzer; 10-year-old boy, Dylan Jeffries; 11- year-old-girl, Sadie Benoy; 11-year-old-boy; John Priester, 12-year-old-girl, April Nicole Nash; 12-year-old boy, Devon Boiling; 13-year-old girl, Mogana Tew; 13-year- old boy; Joseph Tyler Stanley;  14-year-old boy, Timothy Bellamy.
