Free vessel safety checks are available

To recognize the start of Safe Boating Week May 19-25, the North Strand Sail and Power Squadron will be offering free vessel safety checks at local marinas on Saturday, May 19. Starting at 9 a.m., teams of certified examiners will be walking the docks and the points where boats go in the water at various local marinas in Little River and North Myrtle Beach, S.C., including Grand Dunes and Barefoot Marina.
