Geographical discrimination

The N.C. High School Athletic Association is conducting its wrestling dual team playoffs this week and two teams from our county made the field.

South Brunswick, which was the top team in the Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference this season, earned a No. 1 seed in the Class 2A playoffs.

West Brunswick, which tied for second place in the Mideastern 3A/4A Conference, earned a wild card berth in the Class 3A playoffs.
