To the editor: Mr. Harold Hickman’s letter in last week’s Beacon as well as Mr. William Stanley’s from the week before are typical of what I expect from Democrats who have not gotten over George Bush being elected president not once but twice. I will address only a few of their points.
Mr. Stanley contends our troops in Iraq are not fighting a real war and by inference only members of his generation have fought a “real” war. I do not know why Mr. Stanley thinks the Iraq war is not a “real war.”
