Golden A awards presented to local food establishments

The Environmental Health Food and Lodging Section of the Brunswick County Health Department presented the 12th annual Golden A awards to local food establishments at a ceremony at the Government Complex in Bolivia.

The Golden A is given to restaurants, food stands, meat markets, nursing homes and school lunchrooms that score 95 percent or better for each of four inspections in one year. The Platinum A award is given to establishments that receive the Golden A five years in a row.
