McLamb tourney is June 23
The Annual Jerry McLamb Memorial Golf Tournament is 9 a.m. June 23 at Crow Creek Golf Club. At least $87,000 has been raised in the past eight years with all the proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. For more information, call Crow Creek at (910) 287-1831.

Relay for Life tourney is June 30
The Rivers Edge Sundowners Relay For Life team and the Rivers Edge Golf Club are sponsoring a golf tournament to benefit the Brunswick County Relay For Life The tournament will be a captain’s choice event with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. June 30 at Rivers Edge Golf Club. Two flights will comprise the event: one men’s, one mixed couples and women’s teams. Cost is $75 per person and covers golf, cart, continental breakfast, meal after golf and a free round of golf at Rivers Edge.
The big prize is a Harley-Davison motorcycle for anyone making a hole-in-one. There will also be numerous raffle prizes, including a romantic weekend at Martha’s Vineyard’s Narragansett House, a custom-made driver and a customized golf swing analysis.

Shallotte Lions Club tourney is July 21
The annual Shallotte Lions Club tourney is 8:30 a.m. July 21 at the Sea Trail Jones Course. Men’s, women’s or mixed teams may play in the two-flight tourney and the entry fee is $65 per golfer, which covers green fee and buffet luncheon.
The tourney benefits the vision and hearing impaired in the local area who cannot otherwise get care and also supports other Lions’ local services. Call Marvin Peters at 579-1059 by July 12. Applications are also at local golf pro shops.
