Gore looks back as DA; looks forward to retirement

BOLIVIA—Like most careers, former district attorney Rex Gore’s career as the district’s top prosecutor had its ups and its downs.

For 20 years Gore served as the elected district attorney of the 13th Prosecutorial District, which is made up of Brunswick, Bladen and Columbus counties. After losing the Democratic Primary in May, Gore retired at the end of the year, when district attorney Jon David took over as DA Jan. 1.
