Grand jury meets, returns indictments on March 31

The Brunswick County Grand Jury under the direction of Judge Ola M. Lewis with prosecutor Rex Gore and courtroom clerk Kay Fowler returned the following indictments during a Superior Court session on March 31:

James E. Brooks Sr., 58, of 4491 Maple Hill Road SW, Shallotte; two counts felony sell/deliver cocaine, felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine.

Ronald Dale Cheers, 39, of 1075 Greenhill Road, Winnabow; felony maintain vehicle/dwelling/place controlled substance, felony manufacture marijuana, misdemeanor possession drug paraphernalia.

Isaac Sheppard Culbreth, 69, of 2445 S. Booneboro Road SW, Supply; felony statutory rape/sex offense.
