Grateful for medical center

To the editor:
While my husband and I were down in Sunset Beach for the Christmas holidays, my sister-in-law, who lived in Myrtle Beach, S.C., passed away and two days later, my husband became seriously ill with a gastrointestinal bleed. I put him in the car and drove him to Sea Coast Medical Center ER in Little River, S.C., which is also where my daughter, Trina, works in the lab.
Upon our arrival, my husband was seen immediately, assessed by the ER doctor and treatment from all departments began right away. Within 80 minutes after arriving, my husband was diagnosed, put in the intensive care unit and was receiving excellent and constant care.
I can’t name everyone who cared for him, but they all came together and literally saved his life. All the staff was very professional and knowledgeable in everything they did. When we came home and saw our regular doctors, they also praised the treatment he received. Your community is very blessed to have this facility with dedicated employees so close.
Thank you, Seacoast Medical Center, for all your love and kindness in such a trying time.
