Hankins ekes past Cox for District 13 judge

At press deadline Tuesday, election results showed Pauline Hankins eking past W. Richard Cox for the District 13 seat being vacated by retiring District Court Judge Napoleon B. Barefoot Jr.

Unofficial results late Tuesday showed Hankins with a total of 39,271 votes in Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick counties, or 50.6 percent of the vote to Cox’s 38,304 votes among the three counties composing the district.
