To the editor: Have you been called? Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door (to your heart), I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Rev. 3:20.
Have you heard His voice? Maybe you are too busy?
“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty” 1 Cor. 1:26-27.
Have the cares of this world caused you not to hear Him?
“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called Today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, while it is said: Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion” Hebrew 3:12-15.
Jesus is inviting you to receive His free gift of eternal life (Rom. 6:23), “who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began” 2 Tim. 1:9.
