The Beachcombers played a two-nets tournament Friday at Cypress Bay. The winners with a score of 124 (-20) were Dan O’Connell, Dennis Keane, Sid Silver and Gary Gutheil. Brick Landing
On May 29, the Brick Landing Nine Is Fine golf group played its monthly game day. The player with the best poker score was pronounced the winner. Dottie Leelike won with the highest four of a kind.
The Ladies Golf Association played a David and Goliath league game on May 31 (net score on all par 5s and all par 3s). Elsa Bonstein finished first in the first flight with a 24 but disqualified herself for having too many clubs. Dale Calhoon was declared the winner (25) and Irene Dowdy was runner-up at (27). In the second flight, Mary Biesack was first with a 24, Sharon Brown second with a 25 and Mary Tacea third with a 27. In the third flight Kathy Mularczyk came in first with a 26 and Peg Campana was second with a 36. Sharon Brown chipped in at 10.
Brierwood member-member tourney
The Brierwood Golf Club played its annual best ball member-member tournament May 25-26. Flight A gross: Don Tew and Hollen Groff, 144; Gary Hughes and Ed Oliver, 153. Flight A net: Bob Doyle and Randy Milazzo, 122; Howard Boyd and Bill Tonking, 125. Ringer-ringer winners at net 57 were Bob Doyle and Randy Milazzo.

In the Brierwood Men’s Golf Association two best ball match on May 28, the first- place team with a score of -33 went to Dave Harper, Paul Salerno and Ron Arvidson. Finishing second at -24 were Bob Nobes, Bernie Gruzlewski and Les Craft. Third were Dan Perry, Mike Prokop and Chuck Hornfeck at -16.
On May 31 (one gross and one net) the team of George Edwards, Harvey Hundley and Ron Arvidson won at -3. Tying at second at -1 were the team of Dan Perry, Paul Salerno and Larry Boyer and the team of Dave Harper, Bernie Gruzlewski and Tom Kronyak.
