Holden Beach 'massacre' letter unwarranted

To the editor: I am disappointed that a Holden Beach commissioner sent an angry tirade to the editor and that the Beacon validated it with their headline.

I attended that meeting and there was no travesty or massacre. All citizens were invited to express their interest in serving on any committee. This included existing committee members.

Two people, including Gary Staley, asked not to be on the ballot for committees on which they were currently serving.
