Holiday Events planned through Christmas Day

Holiday events continue in coming days in Brunswick County and the surrounding area, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services. The schedule includes:

•Nights of a Thousand Candles, 3-10 p.m. Dec. 18, 19, 20, Brookgreen Gardens, Murrells Inlet, S.C. Thousands of lights sparkle from live oak trees and illuminate garden paths as musicians perform, carolers sing and visitors experience the enchantment. •Bolivia Christmas parade, 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, down Old Ocean Highway. Lineup starts at 10 a.m. Free food and refreshments afterward at Bolivia Fire Department.

•Santa Claus with Paws, noon to 3 p.m. Dec. 20, Middleton Park, 46th Street, Oak Island. Come let your pet secretly shop for your Christmas present. It will be a surprise for you. Prices of gifts range from $1-$5 and are wrapped. 278-6552.
