Incumbent Frank Iler (R-Oak Island) won re-election to N.C. House of Representatives District 17 over challenger Lundia Washington.
Unofficial tallies Tuesday night show Iler with 27,485 or 66.19 percent of votes to Democrat Washington’s 14,038 or 33.81 percent of votes.
Rabon wins
Election results late Tuesday showed North Carolina District 8 Sen. Bill Rabon beating Democratic challenger Danny Hefner with 58,048 votes or 59.89 percent over Hefner’s 38,878 or 40.11 percent of votes.
