Information exchange program to link sheriff's office with other departments

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up to link to more than 400 law enforcement agencies throughout the state and the country through the Law Enforcement Information Exchange, or LInX.

Last Tuesday, Brunswick County Sheriff John Ingram joined other police chiefs and sheriffs from North Carolina in signing a memorandum of understanding with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the agency that runs the LInX program.
