Two juveniles were injured in a car wreck while fleeing from the police in Leland Saturday night.

According to Leland Det. Cpl. Christopher, the two suspects, who were not identified due to their ages, were driving a stolen Chrysler Sebring convertible on U.S. 17 at Westgate Boulevard when Leland Officer Melton attempted to pull them over for a traffic stop.

Christopher said the driver of the vehicle attempted to flee, driving in excess of 100 mph.

The suspects led Melton onto Blackwell Road and then lost control of the vehicle at the intersection of River Road.
