The K-9 enforcement team answers calls, conducts driver’s license checkpoints and assists with other agencies when K-9s are needed.
Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Enforcement Team from Dec. 22-28 answered 31 calls, issued 24 uniformed citations and made 13 drug arrests.
K-9 deputies set up driver’s license checkpoints in the following areas: Old Shallotte Road, Jabbertown Road, Lincoln Road, Pireway Road, Cedar Hill Road, N.C. 130, N.C. 179, Graybridge Road, Mount Misery Road, N.C. 179 at the state line and N.C. 211.
