Vocalist Linda Ladrick will light up the Old Bridge in Sunset Beach on Thursday night, July 19, with a performance of Broadway show tunes.

“Broadway at the Old Bridge” starts at 6:30 p.m. at the new site of the old pontoon bridge at 109 Shoreline Drive West.

The audience is invited to bring a chair and enjoy the free concert to be presented in front of the Old Bridge tender house by Ladrick and her accompanist, Ron Veneeker, a keyboardist for the Brunswick Big Band. The performance is part of the free summer lineup of events offered this season by the Old Bridge Preservation Society.

Celebrated for her expansive vocal range, Ladrick will sing selections from Broadway musicals including songs from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Les Miserables,” “Sound of Music,” “Evita” and more.

Ladrick has been performing since age 5. She is a native New Yorker who studied under the direction of Janiece Kohler, a choir director and organist who was a pupil of renowned composer John Rutter.

Ladrick was a soloist for the Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the West Point Military Orchestra and Band, the Orange County Classic Chorale, Halcyon Ensemble and for performances of “The Messiah” at West Point Cadet Chapel for many years.

A resident of Sunset Beach for the past eight years, Ladrick performs with Brunswick Little Theatre and is a featured vocalist for the Brunswick Big Band, performing in many venues in the area.
