Lady Trojans earn share of county championship

LELAND—For a while Friday night it looked like the high school girls’ basketball game between West Brunswick and North Brunswick would follow the same path as the first meeting between the county rivals.

When the teams played in December, West Brunswick built a 15-point lead in the first half only to crumble in the second half as North Brunswick escaped with a 51-49 win.

In last week’s regular-season finale, the Lady Trojans built a 15-point lead in the first half only to see North Brunswick rally and take the lead in the fourth quarter.
