LELAND CRIME REPORT

Leland police officers investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from patrol activity reports.

•Larceny on Foxridge Way; victim reported her debit/credit card was stolen from her unlocked car.

•Assault with a deadly weapon and robbery on Mapletree Drive; suspect stabbed victim in lower abdomen and attempted to rob him.

•Pursuant to a single-vehicle crash investigation on U.S. 17 South, Natalio Santiago Garcia, 22, of 294 Military Cutoff Road, was charged with driving while impaired, unsafe speed, lane change violation and no operator’s license.

•Pursuant to a traffic stop on U.S. 17 North, Ben Alvin Gilbert, 43, of 3211 Remines Road, Castle Hayne, was charged with driving while impaired, driving while license revoked, a lane violation and expired inspection.

•Sarah Jane McCabe, 19, of 3772 Old Maco Road; charged with larceny, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Timothy Gerald Estep, 36, of 1191 White Oak Drive; charged with larceny, possession of a schedule VI controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Casondra Hall McLaurin, 37, of Hughes Campground, Calabash; charged with fictitious information, driving while license revoked and failure to restrain a child under 16 years of age.

•Evlio Santiago Nixon, 31, of 132 Parsley Lane, Apt. 208; charged with assault on a female.

•Breaking and entering on Oldhams Way; suspect broke into victim’s business by kicking in the front door.
