Leland crime report

Leland police officers investigated the following incidents and issued the following charges last week. All information is taken directly from patrol activity reports.

•Communicating threats on Woodford Drive; suspect called victim and threatened him and his wife.

•Larceny on New Pointe Boulevard; suspect stole $130 from victim’s purse.

•Larceny on Old Forest Drive; suspect stole his son’s dog box from the bed of his truck while it was in his yard.

•William John Citek, 44, of 1120 Village Road, B-14, Leland; was charged with assault on a female, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Shoplifting on New Pointe Boulevard; Brandon Frank Miller, 17, of 1220 Mapletree Drive, Leland; was cited and released for shoplifting.

•Attempted breaking and entering on Village Road; victim reported a suspect broke a window, but did not enter the business.

•Financial card theft/identity theft on Tylers Cove Way; victim reported an unknown suspect used her debit card and identity to make online purchases.

•Larceny on Village Road; suspect entered victim’s vehicle and stole medication.

•Terah Carlton Mitchell Jr., 40, of 2445 Maco Road, Leland, as cited and released for shoplifting at Walmart.

•Fraud and obtaining a controlled substance by forgery on New Pointe Boulevard; suspect called in a fraudulent prescription to a pharmacy.
