Leland gamer raising money for kids

-A A +A
By Brian Slattery

Jonathan Poss is preparing for his first marathon: a game of Final Fantasy XIV.

But he’s doing it for a good cause, raising money for Duke Children’s Hospital.

Poss intends to play the game non-stop for 25 hours beginning Saturday morning, Nov. 2, as part of the Extra Life fundraiser that will benefit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.

The Extra Life fundraiser organizes fans of video games, board games and tabletop role-playing games to use their interests to help those in need.
