LELAND POLICE REPORT

Leland police officers investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from patrol activity reports.

•Sherrill Kay Gilmore, 49, of 6514 Myrtle Grove Road, Wilmington, was arrested for shoplifting at the Piggly Wiggly on Village Road.

•Pursuant to a driver’s license checkpoint on Mount Misery Road, Jeffery Jamaal Simpson, 24, of 6209 Bells & Williams Road, Currie, was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Pursuant to a driver’s license checkpoint on Mount Misery Road, Matthew Deryan Sanders, 22, of 4992 Blue Banks Loop Road, was arrested for possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a vehicle to keep a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•Pursuant to a traffic stop on Village Road, Fernando Dominguez Reza, 21, of 509 Cobblestone Drive, Wilmington, was arrested for driving while impaired.

•Larceny by employee at Wal-Mart; suspect took a vacuum cleaner and a steam cleaner without paying for it.

•Domestic violence protection order violation, fail to stop for emergency vehicle, driving while license revoked and careless and reckless driving on Village Road; the suspect was not located, but warrants were obtained on Marvin Brian Mintz, 32, of 3048 Dillon Way NE.
