Leland Police report

The Leland Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.

Jan. 12

Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny; unknown suspect entered an unsecured vehicle parked on Bent Green Drive and took a man’s gold and diamond ring valued at $1,000 and a $300 iPod.

Larceny; unknown suspect took a purse containing cash and miscellaneous items valued at $53 from a grocery store on New Pointe Boulevard.

Jan. 13

Kevin Dean Elliott, 38, 2014 Southern Pine Drive, Leland, was arrested on two counts of felony simple assault.

Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny; unknown suspect entered unsecured vehicles parked on Lake Jones Road and took cash and electronics valued $617.

Breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny; unknown suspects entered an unsecured vehicle parked on Lake Norman Lane and took miscellaneous items.

Jan. 14

Larceny of motor vehicles; unknown suspects took two motorcycles, valued at a total of $30,900, from a residence on Pine Harbor Way.
