The Leland Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests in the last two weeks. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.


Jan. 17

Financial card fraud; suspect used a credit card from an Ashland Way residence to make purchases that were not approved by the cardholder.


Jan. 20

Larceny; suspect took camera equipment, valued at $150, from a residence on Timber Lane.


Jan. 21

Larceny; suspect took 14 DVDs, valued at $22, from Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard.

Breaking and entering into a motor vehicle and larceny; suspects entered an unsecured vehicle on Pine Brush Drive and took an iPod and portable DVD player, valued at $220.

Larceny; suspect took nine cases of beer, valued at $207, from Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard and leaving the store without paying.


Jan. 22

Trespassing notice; suspect was trespassing at the Leland Library on Village Road.

Larceny and trespassing notice; suspect was trespassing at Dollar General on Village Road and took miscellaneous items valued at $16.30.

Breaking and entering and larceny; suspects broke a window to enter a secured residence on Orchard Loop Road and took miscellaneous items, valued at $804, including diamond stud earrings, and an Xbox gaming system and Xanax pills.


Jan. 23

Larceny and aiding and abetting larceny; suspects took nine T-shirts valued at $49 from Walmart on New Pointe Boulevard.

Obtaining property by false pretense; suspect pawned $200 worth of jewelry at Pawn USA on Village Road knowing the items were stolen property.
