The Leland Police Department investigated the following incidents and made the following arrests last week. All information is taken directly from police incident and arrest reports.
Dec. 4
Larceny from a business on Village Road, Leland; an unknown suspect took three gold chains valued at $2,500.
Forgery and counterfeiting, obtaining property by false pretenses at New Pointe Boulevard, Leland; a check was used to purchase items without the owner’s consent.
Fraud at Village Road business; unknown suspects used a credit card without the owner’s consent.
Dec. 5
Larceny from a residence; unknown suspects took tools, clothes and collectible items valued at $1,700.
Breaking and entering, larceny on Parsley Lane, Leland; unknown suspects entered an unsecured vehicle and took items valued at $1,575.
Communicating threats on Village Road, Leland; unknown suspects made threats at a business.
Simple assault; suspect assaulted another person while riding a school bus.
Dec. 6
Fraud at residence on Stillwood Drive, Leland; suspects obtaining the victim’s personal information to gain items of financial value.
Fraud at a residence on Combine Lane, Leland; unknown suspects used victim’s credit card to make an online purchase.
Larceny from a residence on Holbrook Drive, Leland; suspects took medications valued at $30.
Dec. 7
Nia Malika Perkins, 37, 832 Moore Road, Leland, was charged with three counts of outstanding warrants.
Injury to real property on Amber Pines Drive, Leland, unknown suspect struck a mailbox with a vehicle, causing $200 damage.
Larceny from a business on Villagge Road; unknown suspects took $30 worth of merchandise.
Dec. 9
Counterfeit currency reported at a business on Village Road; a counterfeit $20 was reported.
