To the editor:
It seems by all the polls Senator Obama will be our next president.
There is a real anger and hatred toward President Bush by liberals and a real dissatisfaction among voters who are tired of eight years of his policies.
This combination of hatred by liberals and change wanted by many voters is causing an unusual combination of people coming together to vote into office as president the most liberal senator in the Senate.
What are we thinking? With liberals controlling both houses of Congress, along with an ultra-liberal president and vice president, Bush’s eight years in office will be referred to as “the good old days.”
After we have been taxed into surrender and socialism gets a firm grip on our liberty and economy, we will revisit the ’70s and the time of President Jimmy Carter. I lived through that time of liberal rule and remember the high taxes, high unemployment, 18 percent interest rates, gas shortages, weak military and every deepening recession.
With liberals once again controlling it all, look for the ’70s problems to rise again—plus! Abortion will be on the rise.
Homosexual marriage will be implemented in more states. Our schools will become training camps for liberal indoctrination. Liberal judges will fill the courts.
Our military will be sissified, those who are Christians and those who live decent and moral lives will be under greater persecution from the liberal media and our ultra-liberal government because we are a danger to their plans for this nation.
I am not a doomsday prophet. I just know what is coming from an ultra-liberal government with complete control.
The liberals will push their agenda and policies, no matter what they promise you now.
I am 57 years old, and I have seen enough of liberalism and socialism to know this: liberalism and socialism gone unchecked will totally dismantle our nation and we will be living in a third-rated nation and our children and grandchildren will never know the freedoms and liberties we enjoyed in a government with checks and balances.
The bad part is it will be the voters doing this injustice, continuing to vote-in these anti-American, anti-family, anti-Christian, anti-God leaders who have no regard for God, his Word and his commands.
There still is a chance people will wake up and come from under the enchanting spell Obama has
cast over people with his great social promises and slick words. I love my God. I love my family. I love my country, and my prayers will be the will of God be done for our nation, for in the end, he has the rule and pre-eminence over all.
