A church service in Bolivia was interrupted early Sunday afternoon, June 15, when the building and pianist were struck by lightning.
Lightning struck Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church through the phone line and struck the pianist at 12:03 p.m. during a service.
“The gentleman operating the keyboards was struck through the foot pedal,” Sunset Harbor and Zion Hill Volunteer Fire Department Chief John Eeten said.
The pianist was treated for minor injuries but was not taken to a hospital, Eeten said.
