Local group plans to celebrate National Homeless and Hunger Week

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be homeless and not know where you were going to sleep at night?

A year ago, a group of concerned citizens united with one mission: to help the homeless in this community.

One year later, the Brunswick County Homeless Coalition is joining forces with more than 750 groups throughout the nation to bring awareness to those who are homeless and hungry.

“This is our first event. We just learned about the national week this year,” Barbara Serafin, BCHC president, said.
