Local restaurants receive Golden A awards

The Environmental Health Food and Lodging Section of the Brunswick County Health Department presented the ninth annual Golden A awards to 95 local food establishments recently at a ceremony at the government complex in Bolivia.

Included in the list are 29 Platinum A awards.

“We are very pleased that so many food establishments take such great pride in their businesses and the safety of their customers,” said Don Yousey, health director. “It is not easy to receive this award. You have to work very hard.”
