Local students take part in AVID program

Students in Brunswick County’s middle schools and high schools are gaining valuable skills and setting goals for college based on participation in the AVID program. 

Offered at all Brunswick County middle and high schools, the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program specifically equips students with study and organizational skills to help ensure success when entering college. The Brunswick County AVID program received a checkup from state AVID officials April 4-6, who were pleased with their findings.
