Debra J. Long of Shallotte and Jared Cox of Ash were married Oct. 25, 2008, at Caldonia Golf and Fish Club, with the Rev. Phil Norris officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Grady and Peggy Long of Shallotte.

The groom is the son of Tom and Pam Anello of Ash.

The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her father.

The bride wore a white strapless gown with a ballgown skirt and semi-cathedral train, rouched bustline with a semi-sweetheart neckline.Cameo designs with sequins and bugle beads adorned the fitted bodice, skirt and train.

She wore a two-layer, elbow-length tiara veil adorned with matching embellishment.

Each of the bridesmaids chose their own style of tea-length espresso gowns.

Flower girls wore white, spaghetti strap gowns with fitted bodices and ballgown skirts.

Elizabeth White, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Leanne Long, Debbie Cox and Sarah Cox.

The bride’s niece, Madison Long, and the groom’s niece, Rachel Smith, served as flower girls. Sidney Shipley served as ringbearer.

Josh Cox served as best man. Groomsmen were Johnathan Long, R.D. White IV and Patrick Smith.

A reception followed at the Caldonia Golf and Fish Club.

The groom is a graduate of the Basic Law Enforcement Training program at Brunswick Community College and is employed at Servpro. The bride is employed at Atlantic Seawinds LLC.

The couple lives in Shallotte.
