Deputies are asking for the public’s help locating a Longwood man wanted on several charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and assault on a female.

Thirty-one-year-old Justin Divon Griffin, of Marlon Road, is wanted on charges of assault on a female, domestic criminal trespassing, misdemeanor child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present, misdemeanor larceny and interfering with emergency communication. The charges stem from an incident that occurred in January, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Emily Flax said.

Griffin also has other outstanding warrants on other charges, she said.

On Jan. 22, Griffin allegedly struck a female in the left eye while the victim was holding a child during the assault, arrest warrants show.

Griffin also threatened the victim with a pair of scissors and stole her iPhone 5 in an effort to prevent the victim from calling 911, warrants allege.

The incidents occurred on Drew Street in Ash.

Anyone with information regarding Griffin’s whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 253-2777 or call 911.
