Lottery hits in Brunswick County

More than $450,000 has been won in lottery tickets sold in Brunswick County.

Bobbie Brooke Williamson of Ocean Isle Beach won $200,000 in the Feb. 6 Powerball drawing, according to a press release from the North Carolina Educational Lottery.

Williamson purchased the ticket on Feb. 6 at the Minuteman Food Mart in Ocean Isle Beach, said the store’s manager, Janice Robinson.

Williamson could not be reached for comment.

Two other winners have yet to claim their prize as of press time Tuesday. A ticket for the Feb. 6 Carolina Cash 5 drawing was purchased at The Pop Shoppe in Leland. The winning ticket is worth $212,287.

A ticket for Feb. 9’s Powerball was purchased at Family Fare in Shallotte. The ticket matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball and is worth $50,000.

All prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
