Magnolia Greens wins Interclub event

Magnolia Greens earned first place in the Coastal Carolina Interclub Association (CCIA) event played Aug. 9 at the Bay-Sand golf course at Sandpiper Bay. Magnolia Greens and Ocean Ridge are now tied for first place for the year with 1,265 points.
The CCIA format includes seven two-man teams from each club who play a USGA Stableford system, net best ball, and count only the scores from the top six teams of the seven competing. Clubs compete for the championship trophy by earning points in each event and accumulating the most points at the conclusion of the season.
