Man killed when moped hits tractor-trailer

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is seeking information about a wreck that killed a man Monday.

Around 10:15 p.m., Feb. 4, a moped driver was killed while traveling on U.S. 74/76 in Brunswick County.

According to Sgt. E.C. Harris, Mark Mooring, 38, of Wilmington, was traveling west from Wilmington when the wreck occurred. He was about a mile from the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge when he lost control of his moped.
