Summer can be a difficult time to turn fish on in Brunswick County, but if you fish on the edges of the day and when the tide is really moving, there are still plenty of targets out there.
On some days the fishing is slow and live or fresh cut bait is your best bet. When you are on a school of trout or red drum, or the flounder are really active in clear water, then switching to lures is more fun and often more productive because you can fish them faster and efficiently.
