McCumbee finishes strongly in NASCAR Sprint Cup race

POCONO, Pa.—Chad McCumbee and the No. 45 Marathon American Spirit Motor Oil Dodge team finished 17th Sunday in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Sunoco Red Cross Pennsylvania 500 at the Pocono Raceway.

The finish is the highest of McCumbee’s Sprint Cup career.

For the second year in a row, rain disrupted a race at Pocono. The 2007 spring race was shortened because of inclement weather.
