McTurner-DeMarte engagement

Announcement is made of the forthcoming marriage of Taira Dawn McTurner and Nathan Ernest DeMarte, both of Shallotte. The bride-elect is the daughter of Christine and Tom Broderick (and the late Scott McTurner) of Shallotte and the granddaughter of Susan Murdoch (and the late Clinton Murdoch) of Shavertown, Pa. The prospective groom is the son of Constance and Tony DeMarte of Sunset Beach. A Dec. 30 wedding is planned at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Wilmington. A reception will follow at the Country Club of Landfall.
