Media bias is evident

To the editor: With interest, I watch this so-called political process we have going.

If anyone looks at Obama wrong, his supporters and the media yell foul, but they cannot and will not see the bias and prejudice against Hillary Clinton.

The only reason she is being treated in such a dastardly way is because she is a woman, a girl trying to play in the boy’s playground. We can thank John Edwards for starting the sexist bias against Clinton, which lost him my support.

Our right to vote and whom we vote for is the one right we have left to do just as we will without question, reason or sanction.

When any one group or person thinks they have the right to tell anyone else how to vote or should vote, that is against the law.

Even though, as we have seen, there are people who will sell their vote for a concert ticket.

But to try in any way to keep anyone from exercising his or her right to vote as they please, strips us of our civil rights.

Our constitution guarantees these rights to each and every one of us, regardless of color, race or gender as long as we are citizens of this country and many who are not. I will vote as I please, for whom I please, and for whatever reason I please.

Nobody regardless of color, race, gender or anything else will ever deny me that right or keep me from it. Neither will they question for whom I voted or why. There is no law that says I have to tell a pollster who I voted for or who I will vote for. Our voting ballots allow for write-ins and I am certainly considering using that.

The media should be held accountable for the bias and prejudiced way they have allowed their newspersons to handle this election process.

This includes all forms of media. It is not up to the likes of Lou Dobbs, Keith Olbermann, Tim Russett, Chris Matthews, Tucker, Chuck Todd and Brian Williams etc, to elect a president. These news people present themselves as an advocate for the people and their rights.

They laugh and make fun of the likes of Rush Limbaugh and other talk show and radio hosts, but let me tell you something, they make Rush Limbaugh and all the talk show and radio hosts, Karl Rove, Cheney, Bush, Rice, Gonzales and all the rest that have lied to the American people, look awful good.

The media is guilty of outright lies, half truths and withholding the truth to suit their agenda. If they cannot do their job without personal prejudices and sexist pig opinions getting in the way, then they should get another job.

Any media companies that have allowed this to go on should be sanctioned and put out of business. What happened to the days of Walter Conkite and David Brinkley?

When the media allows the people they employ to use bias and prejudice to sway any news in any particular direction it is no longer news. It is not the media’s opinion we wish to hear. Haven’t you heard about opinions? Every person has one.

If these actions were going on in another country, the United Nations would have troops, including troops from the United States there to stop it. They might be given a choice to leave the country or go to prison. Then they might just shoot them.

Didn’t this country send judges to Mexico to watch their voting in the last election to allow and un-biased political process?

If the news media was covering elections in other countries, and attempted to do with those elections what they are doing here in our country, they might be arrested.

It is strange and does not say much for my knowledge of this country, but I did not know the media was the ruling party of our government. Who among the media is the great defender of our constitution?

Oh, let me see, I could be wrong but I believe it is Keith Olbermann. I would like him or anyone who can show me where in our constitution it says the news media will be the ruling party.
