Savannah Dawn Medlin of Riegelwood and Matthew Ray Edwards of Winnabow were married June 7 at Town Creek with the Rev. Bill Altman of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arden Medlin of Riegelwood. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Edwards and Bonnie Edwards of Leland.

The bride was given in marriage and escorted by her father.

Maid of honor was Amanda Sasser of Hallsboro. Bridesmaids were Tabitha Bridgers, the bride’s cousin, of Riegelwood; Courtney Clayter, the bride’s cousin, of Riegelwood; Kendra Bridgers, the bride’s cousin, of Riegelwood; Dana Good of Delco; and Kelly Fish of Angier.

Flower girls were the bride’s cousins, Brianna Bridgers, Laney Meggs and Whitney Meggs.

Ringbearer was the groom’s cousin, Cameron Miller.

Ray Edwards served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Kent Edwards, the groom’s brother, of Leland; Brad Koonce, the groom’s brother, of Leland; Dustin Medlin, the bride’s brother, of Riegelwood; Hunter Bordeaux of Leland; Jonathan Harrell of Leland; and James Gibson of Leland.

The bride wore a white strapless lace gown with iridescent sequins and accented by a pink sash. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and gerbera daisies.

The bride’s attendants wore chocolate, tea-length dresses, and the groomsmen wore khaki pants and white button-down shirts.

A reception was at Town Creek Park.

The bride is a graduate of East Columbus High School and UNC-Charlotte, where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed at Acme-Delco Elementary School.

The groom is a graduate of North Brunswick High School and is employed with Progress Energy in Leland.

Following a honeymoon trip to Antigua, the couple will live in Leland.
