Mobile biopsy unit rolls into Brunswick Community Hospital

SUPPLY—A new service offered at Brunswick Community Hospital in Supply is on the move.

Every other week, a mobile stereotactic breast biopsy center will arrive at the hospital, making it more convenient for Brunswick County residents to receive this less-invasive biopsy procedure in the county.

Hospital spokesperson Amy Myers said the mobile biopsy unit makes it easier and less expensive for women who may have a suspicious mammogram or a small breast lump to visit the mobile biopsy unit rather than travel to another county for the same procedure.
