The principal of Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School has been charged with communicating threats. She was served with criminal summons Wednesday, Sept. 17, by a Brunswick County sheriff’s deputy, Sheriff John Ingram said.
Patricia Rourk, 53, has been charged with communicating threats and must appear before a district judge at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, according to the summons document.
A criminal summons differs from arrest warrant, where the defendant is not arrested but must next appear in court before a judge, Ingram said.
