Mount Olive Baptist Church to have homecoming celebration Nov. 14-17

-A A +A

The congregation of Mount Olive Baptist Church of Bolivia invites everyone to join as they observe their annual homecoming celebration and revival services Nov. 14-17 with the inspirational theme “In His Image.”

The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, with a concert featuring The Hayes Family from Boone.

This group has many musical styles, including old conventional songs using just the piano and bass guitar for accompaniment, typical Southern gospel-style using the accompaniment of their own soundtracks and even old hymns of the church. They are a fresh package of Southern gospel music, family style and the congregation looks forward to their first appearance at the church.

Guest evangelist the Rev. Rory Thigpen, pastor of Mount Vernon Baptist Church of Loris, S.C., will present the homecoming message. A homecoming meal will follow in the church fellowship hall after the morning worship service.

The Rev. Lebron Crisp, senior pastor of Living Waters Baptist Church of Longs, S.C., will be the guest evangelist during revival services beginning at 7 p.m. nightly Sunday, Nov. 14, through Wednesday, Nov. 17. Special music will be featured during the revival services with The Guiding Lights on Sunday evening, the Mount Olive Baptist Church choirs on Monday evening, Dewayne Bates on Tuesday evening and New Beginning on Wednesday evening.

The Rev. Anthony Clemmons, pastor, and the congregation invite all former and present members and friends of Mount Olive Baptist Church to attend homecoming and revival services. The church is at the junction of U.S. 17 Bypass and Galloway Road in Bolivia.
