A Navassa man is accused of attempted rape after authorities say he hid inside the apartment of a woman who was walking her dog before attacking her.
Clarence Jacobs Jr., 29, of 709 Park Ave., is charged with breaking and entering, two counts of resisting and delaying officers, larceny, attempted second-degree rape and kidnapping, Wilmington Police Department spokeswoman Linda Rawley said.
Jacobs was arrested after police were called to the victim's home on Racine Drive about 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, Rawley said.
