Navassa man wounded in shooting

A Navassa man is recovering after a shooting last Thursday.

The Brunswick County 911 call center received a call on Feb. 28 that a person had been shot in the 500 block of Plum Street in Navassa.

When Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived, they found Kenneth Donell Moore with a gunshot wound to his hip area. Moore was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Officials said his injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
